Group FurtherWant to hear our secret? We are women obsessed. Label obsessed, ingredient obsessed, article consuming, internet scouring, food lovers trying to better ourselves through nutrition and what we put into our bodies. Have you ever found yourself trying to understand healthy eating and not sure where to begin? We sure did. A Healthy Hint was born when two food lovers decided to start at the source of a recipe: the ingredients. We cannot claim to fully know what we are talking about, but we want to share what we have learned and empower you all with basic understanding of ingredients, and share our love of nutrition through ingredient focused recipes and healthy hints. See what we did there?

After years of recipe copying and Pinterest stalking, we noticed a trend. The recipes in a blog post seemed to simply be backstory on how the writer’s husband reaaally loves egg dishes, or their son threw a tantrum and they now need a quick dinner option. If we are being honest with ourselves, we did not want to read that blog babble. We would instead scroll to the bottom, grab the recipe and bounce off the page, time and time again. We decided that we could do something about this, and provide healthy, delicious recipes while also providing readers with education on the nutrition behind the recipe, empowering the reader as we had empowered ourselves.

We want to bring you recipes that we have modified to make our own, recipes we have created ourselves from scratch, and recipes that are tried and true classics. We also promise to keep it real with you and hope all our readers hold us to the same standard! Do not hesitate to reach out to us any time with feedback, questions, or just to shoot the shit. We are so excited to share this with you and cheers to a future filled with many healthy hints!

XO, Amanda & Christina
