Chickpea Cookie Dough

“Healthy” desserts seem to be all the rage right now, and we are not ones to shy away from treats. One of our favorite treats of all time is cookie dough—nothing satisfies quite like it. This Chickpea Cookie Dough recipe is incredible, we promise!

For this recipe, our key ingredient is: Chickpeas

Here’s why we care about this recipe:

  • 1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas (drained & rinsed)
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 4 scoops collagen peptides (use coconut flour for vegan option)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup Stevia sweetened dark chocolate chips


  1. In a food processor, blend chickpeas until smooth.
  2. Add peanut butter, almond flour, collagen peptides, maple syrup, vanilla and sea salt. Blend until fully combined.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Refrigerate dough for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Form into 1 tablespoon balls.
  6. Attempt to not eat the entire batch in one sitting.
  7. Keep refrigerated.

    Holy amaze balls!! Just made a batch and I don’t know how I’m going to control myself.. These are so good! I play a lot in the healthy treats area and have not heard of a recipe with chickpeas. I can’t believe how much like cookie dough it tastes and looks. And you don’t have to wait for them to bake. 😉
