Our weather has dropped from 117 degrees to 110 degrees! What better way to celebrate cooler temperatures than by whipping out the crock pot? We are kidding, obviously. The heat will not stop us from making delicious and easy recipes in the crock pot, and this recipe is not only easy, but it’s incredibly tasty*humble brag*.


Crock Pot Honey Sesame Chicken
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/3 cup low sodium tamari soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp sriracha
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- Green onion, thinly sliced for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in crock pot.
- In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, ketchup, garlic, sesame oil, olive oil, onion powder and sriracha. Mix well.
- Pour mixture over chicken. Cover and cook on low heat for 3-4 hours
- Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred the chicken before returning to the pot with the juices. Cover and keep warm for an additional 30 minutes.
- Serve immediately, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
