Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

We meal prep every week. This should not come as a surprise to you, or be news, since we preach about the joys of meal prep all the time. We also would be so bold as to guess that you have everything for this recipe in your refrigerator right now, truly making it one of the easiest recipes you will make all week.

What kind of mustard do you like? Spicy? Dijon? Honey? Spicy brown? Whole grain? Yellow? White? ALL OF THE ABOVE? We are big mustard fans, and enjoy making poultry with it. The flavor is always powerful no matter the type, and it gives our meals such terrific flavor.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Servings: 4
Calories: 300kcal

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup grainy mustard
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 and lightly grease a square baking pan. 
  • Place chicken breasts in pan and sprinkle both sides to salt and pepper. Set aside. 
  • In a small bowl, mix together mustards, honey, paprika, garlic powder and cayenne. Whisk until fully combined. Pour honey mustard sauce over chicken so that it is fully coated.
  • Cover pan with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Take out of the oven, remove foil, flip chicken, baste with sauce and bake for an additional 10-20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
