Hearty Crockpot Beef and Turkey Chili

We both had moms who made home cooked meals growing up, and this was such a great treat. Our moms rotated through a few signature recipes, and in the winter and spring, a crockpot chili was a staple in the rotation. We both come from families of 5, which meant that our moms often looked for a recipe that was nutritious, hearty and easy. We wanted to create a chili crockpot recipe to bring back a little homecooked lovin’ and share it with you!

The crockpot remains a staple in our kitchens! It is so nice to let your dinner quite literally cook itself, especially when you are pressed for time. Our personal favorite thing about the crockpot is the warming function! Even if your food is finished before you get home from work, it will be warm for you when you are ready to eat. This allows makes dinner extremely flexible, which we really appreciate.

We love making our Turkey Butternut Squash Chili so much, but wanted a chili option that also includes beef. We will be honest with you- we are only fans of chunky chilis. We are not really soup people unless it is packed with lots of yummy things. We are ravenous 99.8% of the time, what can we say, and sometimes something light like soup does not cut it for us!
