Healthy Cookie Dough Bars

You may find yourself with a lot of extra time on your hands at home right now. It is a hard time to find the right words to say. We are so deeply saddened by everything going on, from the little things like event cancellations to the true tragedies- losing loved ones and poor health. We hope that you feel peace, comfort, and strength right now. In times of darkness, there is always light. We wanted to share one of our favorite quotes of encouragement: “Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”  Spend quality time with your family, give yourself grace, show love to someone who needs it, send a happy thought, vibe, prayer, kind word or whatever you may practice to someone today. This will not define us. We can be catalysts for goodness and positivity during this time. We are wishing you, your loved ones, and our fellow community the best health. Here are some Healthy Cookie Dough Bars to give a little sunshine to your morning.

Healthy Cookie Dough Bars are not only easy, but they are a freezer staple! We actually prefer these in the freezer. The taste is so delicious, and a true win win- they take longer to eat so you can savor them. A true win-win. We love keeping little treats in the freezer at all times. We have the worst sweet tooth, ever. We have this urge to always grab a little sugar after a meal, especially as we tend to eat clean.

We have found that having healthy and homemade sweets is so much easier than having Reese’s or bags of Sour Patch Kids on hand. This helps us eliminate refined sugars from our diets more effectively, and always be aware of what we are putting into our bodies.
