No Bake Nutty Granola Bars

Have you guys ever noticed that we love easy recipes? If our blog theme was anything other than gluten free, it would be convenience. We love easy recipes, and this one is no exception. We also love protein bars— yes, we did dedicate an entire blog post to our favorites. When we got a few jars of nut butter from our friends at NuttZo, we knew what we had to do…

Caprese Pasta Salad

We went to Sorrento, Italy two summers ago, and I think we had some form of caprese salad every single day. When we arrived at our AirBnB, our sweet host had a basket of fresh tomatoes out for us which he had just picked from his garden. It was seriously one of the best pairings– the freshly picked basil, a creamy, thick slice of mozzarella cheese, a juicy, tomato slice and of course, a generous drizzle of balsamic.

Banana Bread

Well. This recipe has been a long time coming. While our favorite thing in the world is a fresh baked chocolate cookie, banana bread comes in as a very close second. We have both tested banana breads many, MANY times (not that we are complaining!) to ensure we created the perfect recipe to share with you on behalf on this homemade staple.

Cranberry Apple Sauce

While we may be crazy for all things pumpkin, (here’s looking at you, Pumpkin Scones) nothing really holds a candle to the flavors of Thanksgiving and Christmas. There is something so homey about certain tastes, flavors and foods, and when we think Thanksgiving, we think cranberries. A quality cranberry sauce pairs well with anything- meats, veggies, on a warm roll, or even straight off the spoon. A lot goes into a good cranberry recipe, since their natural flavor is quite tart. However, that poses a problem: how do we plan to sweeten our cranberry recipe in a natural way, without added artificial sugar, while still making this delicious? Thus, the Cranberry Apple Sauce recipe was born. Are we cranberry pioneers? Maybe.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

You know the cheesy movies from the 90s where the shy girl gets the guy in the end after he finally sees her for who she really is? In this scenario, we are the guy and Brussels Sprouts are the shy girl, because after rejecting this vegetable in our childhood, we are head over heels in love with them in our 20s. We honestly cannot understand why these little green veggies got such a bad rap in our youth since we cannot get enough of them now. With our newfound Brussels love affair, we have perfected preparing these by roasting them, and cannot wait to share this recipe with you. These may just be your Thanksgiving must-have side dish!
