Why is gift giving so stressful in our adult years? It feels impossible to shop for friends and family, knowing they can buy what they want, and it can be slightly overwhelming trying to figure out every item outside of the go-to gift Target or Nordstrom card. We are not knocking that and will go the gift card route too, but wanted to spark a little inspiration. We rounded up a few of our favorite ideas to make gift shopping a little easier this year, and tried to tie them all to mental or physical health in some way. Tahini Peanut Butter Freezer Fudge

Now that we are super serious, fancy food bloggers, we decided to kick things up a notch and experiment with a new ingredient: tahini. After a spark of inspiration from Kale Junkie (Life Changing Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies anyone?) and a little bit of our other favorite ingredient, Peanut Butter, this recipe was born. Tahini was new to us, and it may very well be new to you too, so we wanted to give you a little background before diving into this GLORIOUS fudge recipe. Yeah, we said it. Glorious. Ginger Molasses Cookies

If pumpkin is considered to be the staple comfort flavor of fall, ginger takes the gold medal for comfort flavor of winter. We were really excited about this fall cookie recipe and post for a few reasons! These cookies are one of our favorite holiday treats, and there is something about the fusion of ginger and molasses that just tastes Christmas-cozy. Ginger is a flavor we did not fully embrace until adulthood. We wised up, and now we each keep a bottle of pickled ginger in our fridge, ground ginger on the shelf, and ginger tea in the pantry. Egg White Cups

To be perfectly clear, our lives are really not THAT busy. We do not have children, we aren’t married, we do not have a second job, and we do not have a ton of obligations outside of work, A Healthy Hint and our social lives. Pecan Pumpkin Pie Bars

A true coming of age sign is when you learn that you love nuts in dessert. They give extra texture, they add more flavor, and they make every bite a little more delicious. It took us 20-something years to learn this lesson, but we are so glad we finally appreciate a more sophisticated take on treats. Pecans in particular are the official nut of the season.
