In a large mixing bowl, preferably with an electric mixer, beat together butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
Slowly add in the flour, baking soda and salt. Mix to combine. Add in chocolate chips.
Cover dough and refrigerate for at least one hour.
When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 375 degrees and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicon liner. Scoop dough into rounded tablespoons and place onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on cooling racks and enjoy!
